Miracles Abound
by Miracle Chasers on 02/06/11
The new year is only a couple of weeks old and already miracles are in the national spotlight. January 15th marks the two year anniversary of what has come to be known as "The Miracle on the Hudson"- the harrowing story of landing a commercial jet on the Hudson River by Captain "Sully" Sullenberger who said his "...whole life had prepared him for that day." 155 people escaped with their lives on that fateful flight.
In the midst of the tragedy in Tuscon, where a gunman opened fire murdering 6 innocent people, one of the doctor's caring for Congresswoman Gifford responded to a question about the nature of her recovery so far, "Miracles happen every day, and in medicine, we like to attribute them to what we do or what others do around us. A lot of medicine is outside of our control. We are wise to acknowledge miracles."
As the three of us have traveled the country, we mave met many WISE souls willing to acknowledge miracles as part of the fabric of their lives...if you are one of these wise souls, we look forward to hearing from you as part of this miracle online blog.
